In all seriousness, though, the idea of "lifestyle-specific" pets creeps me the fuck out. Also, how sure are they that the gene they're suppressing doesn't also regulate some semi-vital function that won't become apparent until Fluffeh explodes from some sort of wacky cancer 6 yeas down the line?
