Winslow, the cat that is featured in Feline Nutrition, is a freak. He carries things around in his mouth while crying. But he only does this at night, and only when I'm in bed 1/2 asleep, it's either his fake fur catnip mouse, or catnip frog... He walks from the kitchen right next to my bed until I finally talk to him and ask him to come up.... if I don't ask him to come up - he keeps on crying.

Now, I have one of those wands with some fake fur cut on the bias that has a bit of velcro on the end that used to hook onto his catnip mouse. But mostly this wand is just a fun toy...the bathtub toy. Winslow and Pinita will sit in the bathtub and play there....um, yeah. WS of course, will not, he's too proper, or lazy, or doped up on nip...

Anywho, last night I hear this crash in the kitchen, things were going awry on the kitchen counter and then a dragging sound. Happy boy Winslow has gone up on the counter, and why shouldn't he - he's a cat, and taken the wand toy off the counter. I had placed it there earlier with the fur wrapped around the wand in my haste to put things away - badly. He apparently - from the wreckage, knocked it around a bit and then pulled it on to the floor and dragged it in his teeth crying next to my bed....I got up to look and he kept dragging it, and when I tried to take it from him he cried while I played with him.

So now I'm sure their new tactic will be to set Winslow on me to wake me up to play...they use the dog to get me up when they are hungry by biting his tail...

it will never, ever end.......
