Re: laura fran and gus!
Sat, March 12, 2005 - 8:38 PMI'm back after an exhausting hiatus er something...pt with Gus and teaching. He has been recieving accupuncture and now can walk. Has lost about 3.75 pounds of muscle weight and cannot run, jump and I have to lift his big ass in and out of the car and on and off the bed....cause now that he feels better he walks around the bed and whimpers..he wants ON!..
WS was a total ASS. He would stick his head right in Gus' food dish if I wasn't watching...stalk him, stare at him in a dog aggresive manner and perch on the bed above him with intent to pounce. This was during the time when Gus was living on a bed on the floor. I live in a studio and I was sleeping on the floor with him.
A couple of times I caught WS having a smack down with Winslow right next to Gus' head. ARgh..what an ass. WS just has to reestablish his dominans whenever he has the opportunity. Butt head.
Accupuncture! Can I just say Accupunture. I am sure that WS would have obliged if Gus would have let him..but Dr. Roper (Gus regular - non surgical vet) does this.
One good thing came out of this for the cats. I purchased runners for my floors so that Gus would have an easier time walking..now the cats lay about everywhere and he doesn't know where to go....WS refuses to move. I sprinkle Catnip everywhere and they are stoned all the time.
WRFT. Oh my vet thinks it is a disc problem that is resulting in nerve damage and not the stroke...that the surgeons think it is...Whatever - He's walking! -
